Madame Speaker?

Do we really want this Kafkesque figure as Speaker of the House? These are the stakes in two weeks. Do we risk throwing out the only check on Bush's amnesty program for illegal immigrants? Then again, it took Billy Jeff Clinton to usher in a Republican Congress that made great conservative strides in the very first year. But look at them now. With no apparent conservative running for President in '08, is this the end of the Reagan revolution?
